Instructions for enabling JavaScript: Internet Explorer version

You must have JavaScript enabled in your browser in order to view many of the newsletter articles on our news page In addition, JavaScript must be enabled to take any of our on-line CE exams after completing a CE course. This is because we use a JavaScript command to search different news sites for articles relating to the topics listed and to grade our CE exams. If you do not have JavaScript enabled, you will just see the news headings without any articles and you will not be able to view the exam when you click on the begin exam button after a CE course. To enable JavaScript commands on most versions of Internet explorer, follow the directions below.

  • Select Tools from the browser toolbar at the top of your screen.
  • Select Internet Options from the drop-down list.
  • Select the Security tab.
  • Click on the Custom Level button.
  • Scroll down to the section called Scripting.
  • Verify that Active scripting is enabled. If it is not, then click the circle next to Enable.
  • Click OK. If you do not see the option to enable Active scripting, scroll down to Part II at the bottom of this page.
  • Click Yes.
  • Click OK to close the second window.
  • If this instructions window is still open, close it and click the Refresh button on your browser toolbar.
