Michigan EMS Education Adds New Online CE Offerings

Michigan EMS Education has added additional courses to the online CE offerings. It is important to understand that online continuing education courses can only be use as lecture credits for license renewal. All practical credits must be obtain with hands on classroom sessions. You may download the most recent EMS CE record from from our online CE page which details how many practical credits are required for each license level and the number of lecture credits which are allowed.

Michigan EMS Education Launches EMS Discussion Forums

We are pleased to announce that we have implemented an EMS discussion forum on our web site for use by all EMS providers. Use of the discussion forum is free but you must register at the top of the page the first time you use the forums to select a username and password. You must register for the forums even if you already have a username and password for our CE customer area as they are two different systems. Click on the forum clipboard below to go to the forums.
You may choose to select the same username and password for the forums that you selected for the CE area if you wish. You do not have to be a CE customer to use the forums. It is our hope that the forums will be a valuable resource for all EMS providers.
Michigan EMS Education Implements New Log In System for Online CE

We are in the process of updating our online education log in process and courses in response to the pending changes being implemented by the State for continuing education. Once the State implements the new continuing education rules, our online courses will change to match the new continuing education categories. Along with the redesign of our site, we have changed the way online customers will log into the system. Even if you have taken one of our online courses in the past, you must sign up as a new continuing education customer to take any additional courses. State of Michigan Prepares to Update EMS Continuing Education Rules

The State of Michigan is in the process of updating the EMS continuing education rules which will make a number of changes to the way continuing education is administered and provided. One of the changes included in the new rules will be that the continuing education category topics will change to match the categories used by the national registry.
It is believed that the changes may take effect sometime during June or July of this year. There will be new forms available and a conversion chart for the new CE categories. We will post the new forms and information when the changes take effect so check back often for more information.
